Bruce Daniels joins the MCRC as Head of Strategic Partnerships and Operations

We are delighted to announce that Bruce Daniels will join the MCRC on 13^th October 2025 as Head of Strategic Partnerships and Operations.

Bruce joins us from The University of Cambridge, where he served as Assistant Director of Research Operations within the School of Physical Sciences. He brings a strong background in cancer-focused operations, having previously held key roles at the CRUK Cambridge Centre and the CRUK Gurdon Institute.

International Alliance for Cancer Early Detection (ACED) enters its next phase with two new partners

The £50m partnership between Cancer Research UK, University of Manchester, University College London, Knight Cancer Institute at OHSU and University of Cambridge will be joined by the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and the German Cancer Research Centre as the Alliance expands in the USA and Europe.

Manchester scientists receive £5.9 million boost to pioneering radiotherapy research programme

Cancer Research UK RadNet Manchester scientists and clinicians have received a major cash boost from CRUK to fund pioneering radiotherapy research including a project that uses artificial intelligence to help save lives.
